As we are in the holiday season, please remember to sort the items you place in the recycling, cardboard, organics and garbage bins. Mis-sorted items and overflowing bins will lead to extra disposal fees that we all will have to pay.

  • The blue recycling bins are only for mixed recyclable items (glass, aluminum, plastic, paper, steel). Other household waste items should not be placed in the blue bins.

  • The Cardboard bin (the middle bin) is only for FLATTENED cardboard boxes (of any size) and cardboard container inserts. No household garbage, other recycling, styrofoam, plastic or other packaging. All sizes of Amazon boxes should be flattened (broken down to flat) and placed in here.

  • The green organics bins are for food waste and other organic materials only. Please use a paper or other compostable organics bag for items place in these bins.

  • The Garbage Bins (the two on the right) are for other household waste that doesn't belong in the other types of bins.

  • Large items, including televisions, fans, computer chairs, air conditioners, kitchen appliances, desks, chairs and many other items can be picked up for free with Surrey's large item pickup program. See the FAQ section for details on this program.

  • Rugs & carpets, construction waste, propane tanks and other items not allowed in the Large Item Pickup Program cannot be placed in the garbage bins. Bring these items yourself to the Central Surrey Recycling and Waste Centre.

Centimark Roofing is on site for the next week or so doing repairs and maintenance to the roof. They will be walking across the roof and there may be occasional hammering and other work related noises. We are sorry for any disruption this may cause.

Ruby Tree Care will be on site at around 11:30 this morning to remove a dangerously leaning tree outside 108-19366. The arborist at Ruby recommended its removal due to it endagering the fence and hedges in the area. The roots are pulling through the soil and there is no way to stabilize it given the shallow root depth in this area.

A wood chipper may be used to compact the foliage for transport. They should be finished within a couple of hours. The firewood pieces from the core of the tree will be picked up later.
