Please be advised that the deck remediation project will begin at the 19388 building on Monday, May 12, 2025, starting at 9:00 AM. Access to the decks in these units will be done from the outside using ladders and lifts. Owners are NOT required to be home, but ALL ITEMS NEED TO BE REMOVED FROM DECKS ON THE UNITS LISTED BELOW.

Units Affected:

19388 65th Avenue:

203, 205, 207, 212, 213, 214, 301, 311, 402, 403, 406, 409

Work has already started on units 212-214. Work will progress across the building to 301 311 and 402, then around to the other side of the building for units 203-207 and 402-409. Progress will continue subject to weather delays.

Centimark may be temporarily placing a wood board on the outside of the door frame to lock the sliding door if the railing is removed from the deck for your safety.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your cooperation as Centimark works to complete this project as efficiently as possible.

National Air Technologies (N.A.T.) has been contracted to clean the dryer vents at the Liberty.

Interior Dryer Vent Cleaning

19366 Building - Monday, May 12th

19388 Building - Tuesday, May 13th

Crews will arrive at 8:30 a.m. and start at the top floor and work down. If you are able, please provide access to your unit to allow the workers to clean from the lint trap, up the 4" hose on the back of the dryer to the external exhaust run. N.A.T. will visually inspect the flex hose to ensure that is not pinched or cracked and is creating a good seal. Dryers do not need to be pulled out.

Please ensure that your dryer is empty.

Exterior Dryer Vent Cleaning

Wednesday May 14th & Thursday, May 15th

Note that crews will be moving outside the building cleaning the external exhaust run and cleaning the vent covers. No access to suites will be needed for these dates.

The annual Fire Inspection and contracted installation service is to be done

Monday, May 5th to Wednesday, May 7th, 2025.

Days and times for the work are as follows:

Monday, May 5th - Alarm panel contracted service

Alarms may ring - no suite access will be needed for this day

Tuesday, May 6th - 19366 Building In-suite testing

Wednesday, May 7th - 19388 Building In-Suite Testing

The technicians from Community Fire Prevention will be arriving on site at approximately 8:30 a.m. each of these days. They will be in-suite testing of all suites at the Liberty on the dates listed above. This mandatory (Provincial Fire Code) inspection calls for all in-suite Fire Protection Devices (beepers and smoke detectors) to be tested at that time. Access to all suites is required on the days listed above. ComFire will be testing only one building each day, although bells and beepers may continue to ring in other buildings during any of the dates above. Please ensure that you, the owner, occupant or tenant is available to permit entry. Should you not be able to do so, please provide a neighbour or member of the council with access to your suite. You may drop a key off at the Clubhouse at the times listed below:

Key Drop off in the Clubhouse (enter via the frosted double door in the mail room):

Thursday, May 1st 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Saturday, May 3rd 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Sunday, May 4th 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Please note:

  • The alarms in the complex are very loud. Please make arrangements to care for infants or animals that may be frightened of loud noises.

  • Community Fire has arranged for these days only for testing. B.C. Fire Code now requires that every unit in the complex be tested. If you are unable to provide access to your suite, a return visit will be required at your expense.
