Fraser Valley Fire will be returning to check the suites missed by this spring's fire equipment test. They will be visiting the suites listed below to check the operation of the smoke alarms and in-suite alarm beepers. They will also be replacing a few smoke detectors in suites that were found to be faulty or out-of-date this spring. Please note that the bells will ring for a short time while these suites are being checked.

The following units will need to provide access to their suite:

19388 building: Units 102, 104, 114, 201, 304, 313 - Smoke detector and signal check

Units 107, 109, 412 - Smoke detector replacement

19366 building: Unit 101 - Smoke detector replacement

The inspections will get started shortly after 8:00 a.m. and should run for less than an hour.

If your unit is listed above and you will are unable to be there, please make arrangements for someone to provide access. If you still cannot provide access, or have questions about this testing, please contact the Liberty Resident Liaison at: resliaison@gmail.com

Technicians from Fraser Valley Fire Protection will be on site to perform the annual fire system inspection. Starting at 8:00 a.m. they will be testing both buildings starting with the 19388 building on the top floor and working down.

In-Suite testing of the smoke detector and fire alarm signals will be performed in each suite. These are mandatory tests as required by the BC Fire Code.

Please ensure that someone is available to permit entry for this test.

Should you not be available to do so, please leave a key with a neighbour or take advantage of the key drop service offered by council:

Sunday, May 12th....................12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.

The key collection will take place inside the Clubhouse (ground floor, through frosted doors inside mail room).

Fraser Valley Fire will also be performing a every-5-years flow test of the sprinkler system in the parkade. Those cars located next to a standpipe testing point should move their vehicles during the test to avoid dirty / rusty water being sprayed on them.

Parking stalls #107, 120, 122, 121, 190 should be cleared until the afternoon, as well as the area beside stalls #203 and 120. Fraser Valley Fire has stated they will not be responsible for dirty water damage to vehicles, and those parking next to the test points are doing so at their own risk.

Questions about this upcoming testing can be directed to: libertybcs1430@gmail.com
