Curbside couch waiting to be picked up

The City of Surrey is implementing their Large Item Pick-Up Program for Apartments and Condo Buildings, and The Liberty at Southlands is now enrolled in the program.

This program is a convenient way for building residents to dispose of their large items.

Each unit is eligible to receive four (4) Large Pick-Up items per year.

How to arrange a large item pickup:

Fraser Valley Fire Protection will be on-site performing the annual test of the in-suite fire alarms in each suite, as required by BC Fire Code. These tests will commence at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, August 10th. Testers will observe social distancing guidelines and will enter the suite, masked, for a brief moment to test the smoke detectors in each unit. If you cannot be present for the testing to provide entry, Strata Council is providing a key drop-off service. You may meet a council member in the lobby of your building (19366 or 19388) on either of these two days and times:

  • Thursday, August 6th from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

  • Sunday, August 9th from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Fraser Valley Fire Protection has arranged for this day only for testing. If they are unable to access your suite, a return trip must be scheduled at owner’s expense.

Questions regarding the testing or key collection? Email us.

In accordance with the requirements of the BC Fire Code, the fire alarm bells in the hallways will be tested briefly at approx. 6:45 pm on Tuesday, July the 7th. Please note the alarm signal in your unit will beep as well. We will not need access to suites. Sorry for the disruption.
