Fraser Valley Fire will be on site at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 24th to perform the last of the fire safety device testing as required by fire code. One unit in the 19388 building will have its smoke detector and interior alarm beeper tested. Bells will ring in the hallways and inside units of the 19388 building for a short time. Fraser Valley Fire Protection will be requested to isolate the alarm signal so that the 19366 building is not disturbed.

Access will be required for unit 206-19388. Other residents will not have to leave their unit or provide access. We are sorry for the disturbance.

During the last week of December, the recycling bins and garbage at the Liberty are stretched to their maximum capacity. With modified pickup schedules, the bins are not always emptied in a timely manner.

Please note the following:

  • Try to refrain from placing recycling into a blue bin which is already full. Please check the other bins to see if there is room for your items. If all bins are full, please wait until the bins are emptied.

  • Do not place cardboard (even small boxes) in the blue plastic recycling bins. Please flatten all cardboard and place in the large cardboard bin in the middle.

  • All boxes, including flat-style TV boxes should have its cardboard, plastic and foam inserts removed and the cardboard flattened completely before placing in the cardboard bin. Styrofoam packaging should be placed in the regular garbage bin (polystyrene foam is not recycled by Surrey's blue-bin program).

  • Do not leave furniture, appliances and other 'donation items' outside the bins. Office chairs, floor fans, end tables, cat scratching posts and other furniture should be saved for Surrey's large item pickup program. This free program will pick up items by appointment. You can request a large item pickup here.

  • Electronics recycling: old TV's, refrigerators, air conditioning units, computers, monitors, printers and many other items can be recycled for free at the Cloverdale Recycling Depot: 5534 176th Street (176th and Hwy. 10)

  • Animal waste, including cat litter box contents, must be bagged before placing in the garbage bin.

The City of Surrey did not pick up the recyling from the blue bins this week (yet). They are all currently full. Please hold onto your recycling unti the bins are emptied. We have submitted a complaint to the City to get them to pick up the recycling ASAP. Thanks for your understanding.

The cardboard bin is contracted to a different company and is being emptied, so all flattened cardboard should be placed in this bin.
